The network is looking to provide teachers and content to school districts across the state of Illinois who have open teaching positions that they cannot fill. The RISE network is a distance learning network that is seeking retired certified teachers or individuals who no longer teach full time who would like to still teach at a part-time level. Certification at the high school level in the areas of:.Illinois Teaching License, or or reciprocal state licensure.Responsible for all assessments, assignments, and grading Provide instruction for 1-3 courses/day, 1 semester or entire school year. Time of course taught is TBD based on the schedule of the requesting district. Teacher will provide remote instruction to students at a district in the RISE network using RISE room technology. This is a distance learning teaching position that can be done from home through distance learning equipment or at a local school district with appropriate technology. Part-time teaching position providing instruction in qualified teaching area. Click here to see the Course Catalog and view course information and video descriptions.The Rural Illinois Shared Education (RISE) Network was formed to primarily serve rural, and low-income areas of Illinois. Many seniors decide to enroll in a final year of math where they complete advanced placement courses in calculus, multivariable math, or computer programming/science. Sophomore year students will complete Algebra II or Pre-Calculus, and junior year students take Pre-Calculus or Calculus. Most students will be enrolled in an Algebra/Geometry hybrid course freshman year. Prior to enrollment, students will take a placement exam to determine math aptitude, and course assignment. Students are required to complete six semesters of mathematics. For students with exceptional background and/or exceptional aptitude in math there are honors and AP options. These courses are taught as college preparatory courses and the pace and levels of difficulty are set accordingly. The usual course of study for a Loyola student is Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Mathematics Graduation Requirements (6 semesters) ![]()
